Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wawa.

The interview process was pretty simple, involving a basic interview question. I received an honest answer quickly and was told what the work would entail, along with a brief summary of the job description. They didn't keep me waiting for a reply.

I applied online a few times. Then I heard at a local Wawa how to get an interview. I went in the next day and asked for the manager. She said she needed 3rd shift people and that would be good for me. She called me back a few days later and set up a face-to-face interview with the GM. She also asked if she could do a background check, which I said yes to. I scheduled the interview for the next afternoon. I was early for the interview and a bit nervous, but the GM was nice and made me feel comfortable. She told me about the company, asked why I wanted to work there, and how many hours I was looking for. I got hired right away, but we had to wait for the background check. The background check took a really long time, almost making me think they wouldn't hire me. But about 3 weeks later, they called, apologized for the wait, and asked me to come in to finish the hiring paperwork. I was late for that because I misheard the time and had to wait for my son, but I learned that I can't be more than 5 minutes late once I start. After that, I waited another week for my login info. Then the AGM called with my training schedule, which would be during the day even though I'm on 3rd shift so I can train better. I think this will be a great chance for me and I already love Wawa.
