First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wavestone.
Data Scientist Intern
I was contacted by a headhunter. The process has 3 steps, starting with an HR fit, then moving to a technical interview with a senior data scientist from MLDL, and finally a last interview with a director or partner involving a tech case study.
- What does a consultant do?
Data Scientist
It was a 3-interview process plus an English test. The first two interviews were by phone, and the last one was in person. The in-person interview included a 2-hour data case study, followed by a 1.5-hour discussion with a manager from the DataLab. The very first 30-minute interview was a quick chat with a recruiter who would follow up on the application and provide feedback after each stage. The second interview was about 1.5 hours long.
- Can you present your projects and professional experiences in a very structured way?
- What do you know about consulting?
- Why did you choose Wavestone?
Data Scientist Consultant
There were 4 interviews with HR debriefs after each one. The first was a contact and process explanation. The 1st interview was with a Junior Consultant, asking about your motivation. The 2nd interview was with a more senior person, including a case study. The 3rd interview was with a manager, including a presentation of a case study.
