I had a phone chat with HR, and then two more interviews: one with a junior consultant and another with a manager. HR asked me basic stuff about my career, my motivation, and the consulting topic I picked.

I had 4 interviews: first a call with HR, then an interview with a consultant, followed by an interview with a manager, and finally an interview with a senior manager/partner. I was rejected after the last interview. I was contacted again 3 months later to redo the process, and was rejected again. The reasons given in the first and second interviews were very general and didn't seem entirely truthful. It feels like if one person doesn't like you, the whole process falls apart.
