Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wavemaker.
Account Executive
It was a pretty smooth process, with just two interviews and not too much heavy lifting in terms of prep. They asked about my background, experience, and general interest. The final interview got a bit more technical, covering things like numbers, CTR, and other media jargon. With some prep, it's definitely manageable. It seems like a role that requires a lot of communication.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What draws you to a career in Advertising?
Account Executive
The interview process was really smooth and accommodating. The interviewers were nice and easy to talk to. Feedback was given in a timely manner, even if you weren't selected. I felt respected by the company.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What motivates your interest in Wavemaker?
- Can you explain what programmatic advertising is?
Account Executive
The hiring process has two main components, which could happen in any order. First, you'll have an interview with two current employees. Make sure you've done your homework on the company's mission and values. This part is mostly about you, so be ready to talk about why you're a great match, what you'll contribute, and your past experience. Second, there's a group activity with other candidates. The topic can change, but they're looking for someone who is really keen and asks good questions. This is usually followed by a recruiter call, and then an offer if all goes well.
- Can you share an instance where a situation didn't go as planned and describe your adaptive response?
