I applied online via LinkedIn and got a quick reply from the recruiter. We set up a phone screen for the following week, which went well with HR. They then scheduled me for interviews with the hiring managers. About a week and a half later, I had a very brief, 15-minute chat with them. They mentioned it was early days and I should hear back within a week about next steps, asking if I was still interested. I confirmed my interest and sent a thank-you email, but got no response. One hiring manager connected on LinkedIn, but still no reply after another week and a half. I eventually emailed the HR rep to follow up and was told they were pursuing a different candidate for the Senior Scientist role, even though I had applied for Principal Scientist.
