First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WatchGuard Technologies.
Software Engineer
It was a mix of things, you know? First, a recruiter call, then a phone screen. After that, there was a technical screen, and then a final onsite round. They covered a lot of ground, asking about OOPS, DSA, and my projects. We discussed implementation details like inheritance and encapsulation, and I was asked about challenges faced in a project. They also threw in a matrix traversal problem and asked about my internships.
- Can you tell me about your project?
- Can you solve a simple DSA problem?
Software Engineer
So they conducted two technical interviews. The second one was supposed to be for an hour but the interviewer went on for two hours asking verbal questions and coding. After that, the HR told me I was selected and the next step was a managerial round in Noida. But they kept delaying it with excuses, first saying it would be next week for sure, then on the weekend. Nothing happened, and the HR wouldn't pick up calls. The following week, I emailed the HR. They called back, apologized, and said the manager was in the US and that's why they couldn't do the round, promising it would be done before my last working day. Since then, it's been a cycle of broken promises and wasted time. My question is, if they can't conduct an interview, can't they just reject a candidate? It really shows the company's professionalism.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Angular JS?
- Could you solve these coding problems involving arrays and string manipulations?
Software Engineer Intern
I was interviewed as part of my campus placement for a year-long internship. I got shortlisted after a technical test. The test had 30 aptitude questions and 30 technical questions, all of which were multiple choice. The interview itself was a great experience. First, they asked me to introduce myself and talk about my interests based on my resume. Then, they moved on to interview questions, where I was asked a question about star patterns, a question about arrays, and then an Oops question.
- Can you introduce yourself and elaborate on your interests as per your resume?
- Could you solve a problem related to star patterns?
- Can you explain a concept related to arrays?
