It was pretty standard, the interviewer was really laid back. You should definitely know about the company and if you've got customer service experience from before, be ready to talk about how you tracked conversions.

It was a straightforward group interview. There were four of us, including the store manager. She was really friendly and had a good sense of humor. She started asking the same question to three of us, and it was like a rapid fire. I felt very confident with my answers. After the interview, she told us about company details and employee discounts. Finally, she asked if we had any questions for her. This was my very first interview in Canada, and I was very happy with it.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The manager asked me about various situations. One question was: if I were in a situation where I had little knowledge about a product and my manager was busy with someone else, what would I suggest to a customer?

I applied in-store after I helped an employee fix a watch and then told another customer about the watch specs. I emailed my resume to the manager the next day. She called me two days later to set up an interview. I went to the interview and got hired three days later. Since it was during the holidays, I didn't get much training on the sales floor, but I picked things up fast because of my prior experience and the job was pretty simple.
