First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Warren Averett.
Audit Associate
A recruiter reached out first for a brief 10-minute chat and mentioned setting up a follow-up interview with a senior team member when they had availability. The actual interview happened three days later, on Good Friday. It was with two senior employees and lasted about 20 minutes. During the conversation, I asked them about some things I saw on their LinkedIn profiles, which they seemed to appreciate. They both commented on my thoughtful questions and good answers. By the following Monday, I had received an offer.
- What would you contribute to the firm if hired?
- What was your reason for choosing Birmingham, Alabama?
Audit Intern
I applied through campus recruiting.
- How do you communicate criticism?
Auditor
I talked to a tax partner who asked me about my education and leadership experiences, along with some behavioral questions. It was a pretty relaxed process, and all the questions were pretty standard.
- Can you explain the differences between various cultures?
