Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Warren Averett.
Accountant
The interviewer talked a lot about themselves and I didn't get to talk about myself much. They also made me feel put down about my graduate school choices, which made me feel unwelcome so I looked elsewhere.
- Regarding your graduate school plans, where are you thinking of attending?
Accountant
Had a phone interview with the recruiter, then a Skype call with the hiring manager. Spent a day at the office meeting the staff. Felt like I was just being shown around and it ultimately felt like a waste of my time. In the end, I didn't like the location and wasn't interested in relocating after the visit.
- Can you tell me about your accounting background, focusing on financial reporting and closing processes?
Staff Accountant
It was a good interview process, very informative and straightforward. They seemed to want to see how I'd fit with the team, how I handle working with people and dealing with problems, and my technical abilities. I spoke with five people, from staff level all the way up to partner.
- What experience do you have working with clients?
- Describe your experience working with co-workers.
- Can you describe your technical experience?
