Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Warner Music Group.
Intern
I had a phone screening and then a virtual hire view. It started with a phone call with HR or Talent Acquisition. Then, I did a virtual interview where the interviewer was pre-recorded.
- Tell me about a time you worked with others to reach a goal.
Intern
I had a random interview about two weeks before the summer internship started, and then I got a final round. Unfortunately, I didn't get the offer. I think they really focus on soft skills, especially communication. They also seem to care about whether you understand their values and company culture.
- Can you walk me through your projects?
- Discuss your projects in a behavioral context.
Intern
The interview process was more casual than I expected and I enjoyed talking to an industry specialist and sharing my career journey. It was about 30 minutes and they asked me to expand on my resume and share details of my past experiences (internships, projects, etc.) and left some time for my questions for them.
- Could you elaborate on your most recent internship and your specific responsibilities within the team?
