The hiring manager contacted me through email after finding my profile on LinkedIn. We had a Zoom interview with both audio and video. They were friendly. They were going to offer me an art test, but I was already employed and my salary expectations were outside their range, so we decided to part ways for now but stay in touch.

I applied on their website. About two weeks later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with my application. But on the plus side, they did seem to check out my portfolio (judging by my website traffic) before sending the rejection.

The interviewer did not pay attention to my answers at all. In the middle of the interview, he asked about my nationality and after my answer, he asked if I live in my home country. I said no, I live in Berlin. He again asked if I need a visa to come to Germany. I said no, I am in Germany and also have a work permit. I was surprised because instead of paying attention to the applicant's skills and abilities for a senior position, questions about years of work with basic graphic software were asked. This was also asked by someone who paid no attention.
- For how long have you been working with Adobe Illustrator?
