Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wargaming.
3D Animator
The interview process was very professional and the communication was pleasant. They gave an interesting test task that covered a wide range of skills. I also had to describe my general approach during implementation. I think a cartoon style works best in any case:)
- Can you tell me about your past experience in similar roles?
3D Artist
Artstation reached out and set up an interview for me. A few days later, HR got in touch. I then spoke with the lead folks on the project. After that, I had another interview at the office where we communicated live.
- Can you detail your technical expertise?
- Could you describe your background in art education?
- What are your personal views on this subject?
3D Animator
A Wargaming Recruiter hit me up about a 3D animator gig. Even though I already had a job, I was curious. We chatted, but they couldn't share anything about the project (NDA) or salary, just asked what I'd want to make. After a few weeks, they asked me to do a free animation test using their video reference. I passed on that, and that was the end of my candidacy. The recruiter was cool though, super nice.
- What kind of animation projects are you interested in working on?
- Would you be able to work from the office?
