It was a great interview experience, but I was surprised to have to take a computer exam to demonstrate my knowledge on CAD and ability to follow instructions. This requirement should have been communicated before.

It was a really strange experience for an architectural interview. My second interview was on zoom/teams. I felt like the conversation was dry and the interviewer seemed to be waiting for me to keep the awkward conversation going. Usually, in an architectural interview, we start by going through our portfolio, but this person didn't even want to see my portfolio. They talked about their office and team. The interview ended after about 20 minutes. There was no follow-up to let me know if I got the job or not. Firms that do this are red flags, just like Gensler.

Got the interview set up over email. It was short and to the point, and they asked about salary expectations. I was interviewed by the Senior Designer and the Principal.
