First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Walmart Global Tech.
Applications Support Engineer
Got a call from a consultancy that found my profile on a job portal. They reviewed resumes and picked a few candidates. Mostly, they communicate through calls. An HR person called to set up interviews. The first round was a technical HR interview. The second round was also a technical HR interview, mostly repeating questions from the first. The third round was described as a casual chat, but it involved a manager and an HR person, covering both managerial and technical aspects. The final stage was an HR discussion about salary and the company.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
- Can you explain the difference between HTTP and HTTPS?
- Do you have experience with Linux scripting? Could you share some examples?
Software Support Engineer
The whole interview process was done within a week. This was my first interview after 5 years in my previous job. Onboarding was also straightforward and the team was really helpful. The interview itself was intermediate difficulty. If you know the main skill well and communicate clearly, it's not hard to pass.
- Tell me about your knowledge of our primary skill.
- Could you answer a couple of coding-related questions?
- How would you describe your communication abilities?
Software Support Engineer
We had an online test with 15 MCQs and two coding questions. The DSA questions were easy-medium difficulty Leet code ones, but they didn't really seem relevant to the job itself. Overall, there was 1 online test, 2 technical rounds, and then one HR round.
- What are OOPs concepts?
- Can you explain OS basics?
- Solve some easy Leetcode problems.
