First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Waddell & Reed.
Intern
I met with two people in the first interview round. The first person asked me to role-play as the recruiter and talk to them. The second person just gave me more information about the job itself.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Please role-play as the recruiter and speak with me.
- Could you tell me more about this role?
Intern
I first heard about this internship from someone who worked at the company. They mentioned the possibility of an office intern role, so I reached out to the hiring manager. We then scheduled an interview, which took place a few days later. After the interview, they got back to me in a few days with an offer.
- Could you tell me what you consider your biggest weakness and what steps you're taking to address it?
Intern
The interview process has two parts: first an aptitude test and then a behavioral interview. It's a pretty standard process that lets you learn about the company.
- The assessment is difficult and un-preparable.
