I was first reached out to by a recruiter about a Project Coordinator role. The first interview was a one-on-one and seemed to go well, but I was rejected after about three weeks. A week later, they reached out again saying I was close to getting the job and that my resume was passed to another team for an interview. This was a panel interview with three people. This interview wasn't as good as the first, but I don't think it went poorly. They mentioned I'd need to take a personality test to see if I fit the company culture. Knowing I have a disability, I realized I wouldn't pass this test. I was rejected the next day. They said I was the first candidate and it would be a while before I heard back about the job. I tried to get feedback from the recruiter, but they haven't responded, which is unlike their previous quick responses. I'm disappointed because I thought this company had potential. I'm okay with not qualifying based on my credentials, but not because of assumptions from a biased test.

I interviewed for this company through a recruiter and the interview went pretty well. I was told by the recruiter that same day that Wachter would be making an offer next week. I then heard back on the following Tuesday that all of the sudden there wasn't any money available to hire someone for that role.

I applied on Linkedin and a recruiter emailed me a few weeks later. It took another few weeks to schedule the interview. I met with the manager on Friday at 2pm. He seemed really uninterested, and mentioned they had been searching for months. The company seemed to lack personality. I got an automated rejection email from the corporate recruiter on Monday at 9am. The manager's vision for the role was different from the job description; he was looking for a full AV designer to work in the office in NJ, 5 days a week, for 70-90k.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The job description didn't align with the manager's needs for the role, which involves an AV Designer position requiring 70-90k, fully in-office in NJ, 5 days a week.

I put my resume on some local job sites and wachters recruitment reached out. They did a quick phone chat to see if I'd be a good fit. After that, they emailed me to set up a video call with more of their recruitment people. The day after that video call, they called me to ask if I was ready to join. I said yes, and they told me orientation is in two weeks at their main office in Kansas. They'll fly me out for a week to go over everything and I'll get my company truck to drive home. They mentioned the hours aren't fixed and it's an on-call thing. I agreed to it all and I'm waiting for orientation. I'll update after I'm back home and working.
