Wachsman Interview Questions
& Process

I had three interviews, then they just went silent for a whole month. I tried reaching out a few times but got no response. Out of the blue, they contacted me to set up another interview, not even mentioning the delay or apologizing. I did that interview too, and a few days later, I got an automated rejection email. The whole thing felt messy and not very professional.

I spoke with HR for a screening call, and then had two rounds of interviews with four managers in total. The two hiring managers both said they really liked me and thought I'd be a good fit. They mentioned the next step was an interview with someone at the same level as the role I was applying for, to give them an idea of the day-to-day tasks. Both managers said they were recommending me for that round. However, I never heard back from HR, even though I usually get a response about the next steps within an hour or two after interviews. I reached out four times over two weeks to see if I was still being considered and if they had any feedback. I got nothing back. One of the hiring managers kept in touch and said he would check with HR about what was happening, but I never found out and HR never contacted me. Now the job is posted again. I never received any feedback on why I wasn't advanced to the next stage, and being completely ghosted after two hiring managers indicated they wanted me to proceed – especially after one said they hoped we'd be working together soon – is totally unprofessional. I'm really disappointed because I genuinely liked everyone I met and felt I would have enjoyed the role, the clients, and the team.

So I initially applied for a different role, and the interview process involved two calls and a written assessment. The assessment was super fun and gave me a good sense of what Wachsman is all about. The calls were basically enjoyable chats with a Snr. Consultant and an Associate Director on the first call, and then an Executive Director and Managing Director on the second. Both were tough but really good experiences, and they made me even more interested in working there.

I applied for the Senior Consultant position back in 2018. First, there was a screening call with the Head of HR, which was basically a casual chat about what they expected for the role and for me to ask about the company culture at Wachsman. After that, I had a phone interview with an Associate Director. This one was also pretty general, focusing on the blockchain industry and why I was interested in Wachsman. The last step was an in-person panel interview. The CEO, David Wachsman, was in Dublin, so he was on the panel with the HR Manager and a Senior PR Consultant. It was probably the toughest part, but honestly, it felt really welcoming and I enjoyed it. They asked for a lot of examples of tough situations I'd faced and how I'd use those lessons in the role.
