Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wabtec.
Intern
It was just one behavioral interview. Knowing Wabtec values is a plus, and being able to answer the questions well too. Be yourself, be confident. Don't give them any sign of incompetency. If you are not sure of a question, feel free to say " Can you give me three minutes to think about my answer?" They'll most likely say yes and when they do, don't get nervous just keep thinking until you're ready to answer. If you are still not ready, you can tell the interviewer to move on to the next question and come back to the previous one later.
- What do you do when your teammate is not putting in much effort into your project?
Intern
I got this internship through my college's placement cell. It started with an online test, and then there was a technical interview. They were looking for candidates with a CGPA of 8.0 or higher, though the salary offered wasn't that great.
- Can you explain what OOPS is?
- Could you tell me about the projects you've worked on?
Intern
The interview was a positive experience. It was a single round lasting 30 minutes, starting at 10 AM. It began with a brief greeting, a review of my resume, and an introduction, followed by questions based on my resume. There were also some technical questions, a bit of coding, and it finished on time. Most questions were about my resume projects and my preferred language, covering OOPs. When I discussed my projects, I mentioned different roles and my primary interest. This led to a behavioral question. I've provided most of the questions asked which I think might be helpful.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- Can you explain your project in detail?
- Regarding your project, what specific role did you take on?
