Before the interviews, there was a technical and aptitude online exam. The interview itself focused on core computer science topics like Computer Organization and Architecture, Operating System, C/C++ programming, and Compiler Design. I found the questions to be in the easy to medium difficulty range.

A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn and after a brief chat, forwarded my resume to Vapor Rail a Wabtec company. I then had a 1-hour online interview, which was pretty straightforward with mostly yes/no questions in both French and English. Following that, I was invited for an onsite visit. Interestingly, the job description was posted on their careers page about a week after the onsite. A few days later, I found out that the position had already been offered to someone else, even before my initial interview. It felt like I was just a placeholder in their hiring process.
