First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at W. R. Grace & Co..
Process Control Engineer
Got a call from an internal recruiter first for a screener. Then had a video interview with the hiring manager and their N+1. After that, there was another video interview that included a presentation and some follow-up questions. The questions were mostly behavioral, but they actually listened and asked some personalized questions based on my experience. The team was friendly and the whole process was pretty quick and easy.
- Tell me about how you manage work and teams.
- Describe your experience in driving capital projects.
Process Engineer
I had a recruiter call first, and then they set up a phone interview with my supervisor. That phone call lasted about 45 minutes. After that, they scheduled an onsite interview with a panel, which included several section leaders. Most of the questions were behavioral and related to the current job responsibilities.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a conflict or differing opinions within your company.
Process Engineer
I applied online back in October and they reached out to me for an interview in January. First, I had a phone screen with HR. After that, they set up an all-day in-person interview. Then, about a month later, I was invited back for a second all-day interview. After the second interview, I didn't hear anything back, and my email asking for an update went unanswered. A whole year passed, and I finally got an automated email saying they decided not to fill the position, which I had already figured out by then. The interviews seemed to go well, and it was pretty frustrating to have no communication about them deciding to stop the hiring process until that surprise email a year later.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your background?
- Could you describe your experiences in manufacturing?
