First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at W Hotels.
Intern
Got invited to a chat after applying online, saw the ad on my university's job portal. Had a nice, friendly chat about potential opportunities with a pleasant HR person. They had already filled the role I was interested in a couple weeks prior, but it seems like a really great company.
- Tell me about the biggest challenge you've faced in your life.
Intern
After an interview in English, they mentioned that there is no salary. However, the hotel's name would be beneficial for your resume, which essentially means working for free. And I was not really interested in working for free.
- Why do you want to work with us?
Intern
I applied through my college's recruitment program. An HR trainee from Barcelona contacted me via email, asking if they had reviewed my application and if I was available for an interview. I proceeded with the interview and spoke with the person who would become my manager. I later received confirmation for the internship. However, individuals without an EU Passport were not granted permission for an internship at the hotel.
- Can we switch the interview to speak in Spanish to see how comfortable you are?
