The interview was pretty long and thorough. They had a few different tests, like interpreting parts of a conversation, taking notes, and checking my knowledge of specific terms. It was all done over Zoom. They'd ask me things in English, and I'd have to interpret it into the language I work with. Then, after I interpreted it, they wanted me to say back exactly what they had originally said in English.

The interview was online and included a test of medical terminology knowledge and an English proficiency assessment. Then, on a different day, there was a 20-minute consecutive interpretation test between two languages, simulating role-play scenarios in medical and government service settings.

The interviewers were really nice and made me feel at ease. They were happy to answer all my questions and were flexible. The only downside is that there aren't as many hours available for my language pair as I would like. However, they suggested I might be able to request more hours later, which I'm hopeful about. I'm really excited for this opportunity and the experience I'm going to get.
