First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Voyage Care.
Sales Representative
You submit your resume through the portal, and HR screens it for keywords. Then, a voice calls you for a phone interview where they ask about your past experience. Next, you'll face a challenge: either slay the coding dragon, design a fortress, or write a poem of strategy. Finally, you meet the council for a panel interview to test your wisdom, courage, and charisma.

Support Worker
Applied online and a few days later I was asked to come in for an interview. I had my interview, found out I got the job, and then it took 6-8 weeks for my starting date. There were issues with my reference check due to the voyage office, but I wasn't the only one having trouble. I always had to chase head office about them. After the 6-8 weeks of waiting for my start date, I finally started work.
- What makes you want to become a support worker?
- What is your motivation for wanting to work at this company?
- What skills do you possess that would be beneficial in this role?
Community Support Worker
I first applied online with my CV, then I had a telephone interview with recruitment. The interviewer was very friendly and offered me a face-to-face interview right away. I went to the service office the following week for the in-person interview. A manager interviewed me while a colleague took notes. The atmosphere was relaxed and I felt at ease.
- Can you share an instance where you maintained written records?
- What is your understanding of this role?
- In a situation where someone disclosed abuse to you, how would you respond?
Manager
I interviewed with an Operations Manager and HR. I also had to do some paperwork exercises, which involved looking at P&L sheets and filling out rotas. The interview itself lasted about an hour, and then it took another hour to finish the tests.
- Tell me about your challenging behaviors.
- What are your thoughts on Safeguarding?
- How would you handle the P&L sheets?
