The initial phone screen was a bit of a mess and frankly quite disappointing. It really felt like they hadn't even glanced at my CV. The recruiter and I had set up a call for 10:30 am, but she called me at 10:00 am. When I pointed out the time difference, she insisted it was 10:30 am because she'd double-checked her emails. I had also checked my emails and confirmed the interview was for 10:30 am, but I decided not to make a fuss about it and just went with it. During the chat, I was asked about my interest in Voxpro and why they should consider hiring me, which felt like pretty standard questions. She also questioned my qualifications for the Customer Service role. Then, she asked if I was currently unemployed. I had to ask the recruiter if she even had my CV handy, as it clearly shows I'm currently employed. Her response was rather curt, stating she needed to verify if my CV was up-to-date, which just screamed unpreparedness and a lack of attention to my application details.

It was a really quick process. I sent my CV on Monday and had a brief call. They gave me info about the position and asked some very basic questions. Then I did two language tests, one in Czech and one in English, involving writing letters/emails to customers and grammar checks. The next day, I had another call, and they offered me a 'Meet up' in Cork with a short interview for the following day. During the Meet Up, there were several tasks: an introduction, a presentation about Voxpro/Airbnb, role-playing exercises, and a game to assess problem-solving skills. They had nice tea and coffee available throughout. Many people applying for different roles were in the same room, separated into 'teams' for the games – it was a lovely time! A short, 10-minute interview concluded the Meet Up. I received a job offer the day after.

I applied online in April 2017 for a 3-month fixed-term contract role from June to August. The first step was an email to set up a brief call interview with a few questions. After passing that, I had to complete an online test checking my grammar and punctuation skills. Then, I was invited to a group interview with about 20 other people. It was honestly the most relaxed and fun interview day I've experienced. We started with some ice breakers, then were divided into groups for role-playing customer phone calls. They were looking for confidence and engagement throughout the day. Finally, there was a one-on-one interview at the end, which was great because I felt so at ease by then. Overall, it was a fantastic recruitment process!
