First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Votorantim Cimentos.
Intern
First, I had an interview with HR to define the profile, and then a second interview with the coordinators. The HR interview lasted about 30-40 minutes remotely. The second interview, also remote and lasting 30-40 minutes, covered more technical topics.
- What is your level of knowledge regarding inventory management tools?
Estagiário Superior
The whole thing took about 2 months from start to finish, including the application, an online test, and a panel. I applied on the recruitment company's website for a logistics role. On December 22, 2020, I got the confirmation that I passed the case study challenge. Then, on January 11, 2021, in the morning, I did a group activity with other candidates. Later that same day, in the afternoon, I had an interview with the manager who's in charge of the area. The manager was super chill and helpful; he seemed so happy doing the interview, it was really infectious. It lasted about 20 minutes, during which he asked 5 questions and then left time for my questions and to clear up any doubts.
- Could you introduce yourself? Tell me about your background and journey.
- What would you say are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
- What do you enjoy most about your course of study?
Intern
The process had 3 parts: an interview with the manager, an essay on a given topic, and a logic test. The essay and logic test were easy, but the interview wasn't handled well. First, I had to wait an hour because reception didn't notify recruiters about my arrival. When I was allowed in, an inexperienced HR person asked superficial questions. Then, the hiring manager asked standard questions like, 'Tell me about a time you succeeded and a time you failed,' and 'In your opinion, what is the biggest problem in the world?'. The manager's interview style was unfriendly, even asking if I liked math or just fell into engineering. I found it disrespectful.
