Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vonage.
Sales Development Representative
It was a straightforward process. They showed me around the office. I met with a diverse and friendly panel of interviewers who were very welcoming. The recruiter walked me to the interview, and I got a great introduction to the team. They asked good questions and gave me a lot of context about the role.
- Can you share an instance where you had to overcome objections?
Sales Development Representative
Did a phone interview first, then an in person interview with a floor manager and the main sales manager. They might make it seem like it has a lot of possibilities, but honestly, if you don't have prior outbound sales experience and a thick skin, those minimum 200 calls a day where you get hung up on or cursed at can get really tiring and irritating.
- Could you discuss your previous work experience?
- What can you tell me about your social skills?
- Can you describe the role?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was pretty standard. First, there was a phone call to introduce ourselves. Then, I had an in-person interview with two people. I found out later that same day that they were going to offer me the job. The interview itself felt more like a chat.
- What do you know about this company?
