They had me come in for a morning interview and asked me to hang around, because they were going to call people back in that afternoon for a second round. Instead of calling the folks they didn't want to move on, they just never contacted them. This leaves you in a strange town not knowing if you should just head home. This was one of the most unprofessional interview processes I've experienced.

I met with the assistant principal at the school. We discussed my background. She was particularly interested in my data entry abilities and how fast I can type. She provided a brief outline of my expected duties. She informed me about the school's environment, including the number of students and staff on campus. She also gave a quick overview of the job's responsibilities.

I applied online and the school's secretary called me the very next day to set up an interview. The whole thing was pretty straightforward. I talked with the principal and they asked me about my educational philosophy, how I'd manage a classroom, my plans for professional growth, and things like that.
