Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Voltas.
Engineer
It took about 2 months to get the offer letter. There were 4 interviews: local area manager, zonal hr, zonal manager, and general manager. The general manager interview was via Skype.
- Can you describe methods of duct design and their applications?
- Tell me about Voltas.
Senior Engineer
You'll have one phone interview initially to see if your skills match what they're looking for. After that, there's a 1:1 chat with the tech team, followed by a chat with HR about salary. If everything looks good, you'll need to complete an HR form with your academic and professional background.
- Why are you interested in switching to Voltas?
- If selected, what are your five-year career aspirations?
- What are your expectations from the company?
Design Engineer
They asked good questions about my overall development and technical background. You should definitely go over your basics. They wanted to focus on root skills rather than upcoming technology. Be confident and honest. They prefer to have these skills more than technical ones.
- Tell me about your interests and any ongoing sports events you follow.
- Imagine you are the manager of a team during the World Cup; devise a winning strategy.
