Operations Associate
I applied online. After a few weeks, I was asked to schedule the first interview but it got canceled an hour before. I rescheduled and then met with a current Operations Associate a few days later. He was nice, but I found it odd that the decision not to move on was based on him only having been there for 2 months. It was standard behavioral questions and one case study question about improving the hiring process.
- Can you walk me through your resume or tell me about yourself?
- Why are you interested in this job and what do you hope to gain from the Operations Associate Program?
- What is your proudest achievement?
Operations Associate
It started with an on-campus interview, then a Skype call, and finally, I went to the Berkeley office for a series of onsite interviews. I met with senior managers for all of them. They were all behavioral interviews.
- Can you share your experience with contract negotiation, and how did you handle pushback on whether your experience truly counts as negotiation?
- How have you defended your opinions when challenged?
- How do you challenge others' opinions?
Operations Associate
First, I was contacted by the hiring manager and we set up a time for a call. On the day of the call, the manager was a bit late, which was a little rude, but the call itself was fine. They said I would be contacted for a second round. It took about 4 weeks to hear back, and the same hiring manager emailed me asking for my availability. Another week passed with no contact, so I emailed them for an update. They said they were finalizing things and thanked me for my patience. Then, the manager booked me for an interview on a day I had a conflict. We rescheduled without any problems. The second interview was cancelled by the HR rep via email right before it happened because the role was filled the previous night. This company really doesn't know how to hire. Don't work here. If they can't handle hiring professionally, I doubt they handle other business aspects professionally. The leadership sets the tone, and if they want to be taken seriously, they need to act the part. This is a warning to anyone interested in this company.
- Could you describe your most challenging professional project?
