Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vivo (Telefônica Brasil).
Sales Consultant
Too many 'technical' requirements for a role that isn't very 'technical' - the job is just to sell the company's service packages and devices from various brands, which are skills learned in company-provided courses. They required 'fluent' English for a shopping mall store in an outlying neighborhood?! Lots of irrelevant questions about personal life, which don't provide useful information for evaluation and selection. You can tell the person conducting the selection was unprepared for the role. They mixed the company's script with their own worldview to evaluate. At the end of it all, I left without relevant information about the role, like details on work hours, job requirements, salary, etc...
- Regarding salary variation and commission being 'variable', do we agree with this type of approach?
Sales Consultant
I had a very good experience. First, I did a written assignment and passed with the manager. Then, I had an interview with HR at the company's headquarters. The benefits were good, but management was a bit complicated.
- What do you like to do?
Sales Consultant
First, they reviewed my resume. Then, there were tests, general knowledge questionnaires, specific knowledge questionnaires, and a writing test. After that, I had an interview with HR, followed by an interview with the manager. There were also general interviews, a group dynamics session, a skills test, a knowledge test, and general tests.
- What made you want to be part of the company?
