Went through a very long interview process, with 6 interviews. Made it to the final round, but never heard back about not getting the job. Felt like they didn't respect my time at all.

I went through a pretty thorough interview process with Vivid. It started with two phone calls with their internal recruiter. Then, I had an in-person interview with the director of their Benelux offices, followed by a second interview with the person who would have been my direct manager. Things seemed to be going really well initially; they told me the company was very positive about me and we even talked about a start date. They also assured me multiple times that knowing Dutch wasn't a must for the job. But, after they said I'd hear back midweek, I didn't get any news for over a week. When I followed up to ask what was up, they said that even though I was a great fit, they decided not to move forward because they actually preferred someone with Dutch knowledge. This was a surprise and a letdown, especially since it went against what they'd told me throughout. I asked them to reconsider and also requested written feedback, but they just ignored my follow-up. So, while the interviews started out great, the lack of clear communication, the sudden change in what they wanted, and then the unprofessional silence at the end really left me with a bad feeling.
