The recruiter contacted me on another platform about a potential role. I was initially hesitant as it seemed like a junior position, but after some clarification, I proceeded with a phone interview. The hiring manager suggested a follow-up conversation with a colleague. After five days with no word, I followed up with the recruiter. She eventually responded after I noted her unprofessional silence, apologizing and citing busyness. A rejection followed shortly thereafter. I wasn't interested in pursuing further given the poor communication.

There were 2 interview steps. The first was a Skype interview that lasted about 20 minutes, where they asked about my employment history and to describe a time I used Motivational Interviewing. The second step was a workshop with other candidates where we did role plays using Motivational Interviewing. It was nerve-wracking but we were supported and not penalized for mistakes. I think they wanted to see how we work under pressure. The whole experience was eye-opening and helped me grow.

The hiring process was pretty intense. First, there was a phone interview, then an in-person interview. After that, I had a role-play over the phone, which reminded me of Grad school. Then, it was an all-day workshop/training before they offered me the position. The whole thing took about a month. I got the offer after the workshop, which was two months before my start date, and the company set that date. They hire in groups of about 10, so I wasn't really competing with anyone for the spot.

After completing an online test the day before, I had an initial phone interview that lasted about 20-30 minutes. The online test primarily covered my working style, such as whether I prefer working in groups or individually, and included timed vocabulary and math questions. If they liked me after this phone interview, I would soon hear about a Skype interview for a second interview.
