Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Visionworks.
Sales Associate
This interview experience was really unprofessional. I could barely speak without being cut off from the very first question. It got worse from there. They asked some questions that felt inappropriate and too personal. For example, the manager brought up my period and how it might affect my work, which felt sexist and discriminatory. She also implied I'd have no excuse for missing work because she has more kids and rarely calls out. I'd seriously steer clear of this company.
- Are you married?
- Do you have children?
- Why don't you return to a previous industry or company?
Sales Associate
The interview process includes one interview with the store manager and a few questions. If you successfully complete the entire process and the company decides to hire you, you will receive a job offer, which might include salary and benefits negotiations.
- Why do you want to work at Vision Works?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses, and how would they impact your performance in this job?
- How would you deal with challenging customers or situations?
Sales Associate
It was a really easy interview. I just answered some questions about my past work experience. We also talked about benefits and what was expected of me. Because of my experience and how quickly I can learn, they offered me a job that covered both being an Optometric Tech and a Sales Associate. I had to take a drug screen, and then I was officially hired within a week.
- Do you wear glasses or contacts?
