The role sounded interesting and the company seems to be doing some cool things. The interview process was way too long — so many steps that honestly didn’t seem necessary. I also had to do a take-home project that took me HOURS, and they didn’t offer any pay for it, which didn’t feel right. The whole interview vibe came off pretentious and not very welcoming. Another red flag: the HR team seems to have super high turnover. From what I was told, no one has been there longer than a year, which says a lot about how things are run.

Had a recruiter screening call, then a call with the hiring manager, and then a call with the VP of CS. A contract recruiter working on behalf of the company gave a really positive candidate experience. Even though I wasn’t selected to move on to the final round, he offered to meet with me and provide feedback, which was kind.

First, there's an HR round. If you pass that, you'll move on to a technical round where they ask some OOP and DSA theory questions, along with questions about your tech stack and past experiences. They'll also give you one easy LeetCode question, specifically for string manipulation.

So, the interview started with a recruiter chat, then a chat with the hiring manager which went really well, I felt like I showed my value and they said I was moving on. But then HR told me I wasn't, and when I asked why, they said 'miscommunication' even though the manager said I was good to go. It was pretty upsetting and made me wonder if they actually know what they're doing. Just a heads up, if they tell you you're moving on, take it with a grain of salt, because they might change their minds later.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Describe your strategy for ensuring an account is successfully managed all the way to renewal.
