Data Scientist
The process involved a logic test and a data science test on an online platform. After finishing, I had an interview a few days later. During the interview, there were 2 interviewers and it was a calm conversation, even though I felt some nervousness. Unfortunately, I didn't pass to the next stages, but I feel I came away with a positive outcome because they gave me a quick response with very relevant feedback, explaining all the positive and negative points they saw, giving me suggestions and explaining the reasons for not proceeding with my application. Few companies are this attentive, and that's if they provide any response or feedback at all.

Data Scientist
So first, there were some basic interview questions, you know, like introducing myself, talking about strengths, weaknesses, and past experiences. Then, we did a technical case. They gave me a math problem, but when I gave my answer, which I was pretty sure was right after double-checking it, they kept pressuring me to give the exact answer from their script. They'd say stuff like 'Why are you saying that?', 'It's easy.', or 'That's not the way.' I felt super uncomfortable, and it seemed like they weren't really listening to my thought process, just looking for people who'd match their script. After that, there was a behavioral case, which was more chill. A good thing was that they gave feedback, but when I mentioned feeling uncomfortable, they just said that's 'normal for consulting firms and I should get used to it.' But honestly, I have friends in consulting, and they say that's not typical and is more about a company culture of pushing employees hard for results rather than the nature of the work. It makes you wonder how a company with 'great place to work' awards doesn't even listen to a candidate during hiring. Overall, it was a negative experience, and I hope my feedback is considered.

Data Science Intern
I applied through Gupy and was called for an interview. In the interview, two employees asked me questions about myself, which I initially felt was positive. They asked about my personal background and principles. However, they also questioned my understanding of how the company operates and its culture. Frankly, I think it's unreasonable to expect someone with little experience, applying for the first time, to know things they can only learn through experience with the company. They quizzed me on a one-hour webinar, and in the feedback, they said the main reason I didn't get the job was not remembering the webinar content and not knowing how the company works. I was given case questions to make data-driven decisions and I performed well. Then, there was a business analysis where the situation was extremely vague: I was just told to use data science to solve a problem for a bank that is both digital and physical, with almost no details. I had to invent everything, and they said I performed poorly, but I blame it on the lack of information provided. Lastly, they compared Visagio to other famous big techs and expected me to say I'd choose Visagio no matter what. I was honest and said I'd analyze which company I identified with most. Apparently, the company is so focused on 'talent hunting' that they don't concentrate on the candidate's actual skills but treat them as already super engaged and solely focused on passing their selection process.
- Cultural questions, explicit questions about the company's webinar, simple questions about data analysis, and vague questions about behavioral and business analysis.
