Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Virtusa.
QA Lead
The interview process was pretty much aligned with market standard. It included an HR Screening, an Internal Technical Round based on your profile, and then a Technical Round with the end client if the second round was passed.
- Were there questions based on your resume skills?
- Can you elaborate on your core Java knowledge?
- Tell me about your experience with Selenium in depth.
Senior QA Engineer
So I went for this Virtusa walk-in for an Automation Testing role, and wow, there were like 100+ people there, super competitive. The interviewer was pretty chill though, made it easy. We started with some basic coding questions, had to jot them down on paper. It wasn't too hard, maybe easy-to-moderate, but they really wanted you to know your stuff and explain it well. Definitely a good session to see how important it is to be clear and have solid coding skills.
- Can you write a program to determine if a number is prime?
- Could you provide a program to check for a perfect number?
- Show me how to write a program for the Fibonacci sequence.
Quality Engineer
First, they filter CVs. Then, there's a QE Test paper covering quality assurance and control practices, test planning, test execution, test automation, test tools, and experience with functional and non-functional testing of web and mobile apps. After that, a QE interview, followed by an HR interview, and finally, an offer letter, which you can either accept or reject.
- Can you tell me about test planning?
- How do you approach test execution?
- What's your process for recording bugs?
