I designed, developed, and maintained web apps using Java, Spring Boot, and MySQL. I worked with the front-end team to connect RESTful APIs to user interfaces. I also did code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to make sure the software was good quality. I talked to clients to understand what they needed and to give them custom solutions. For version control and project tracking, I used Git, JIRA, and Eclipse IDE.

So I was contacted by an HR consultancy, Culminant Outlook, about a Java Full Stack Developer gig at Virtusa, like two months ago. They told me the whole thing would be done in 3-4 hours, which was a total lie. I got there at 10 AM and didn't leave till 10 PM, after like, Technical Round 1, an AI assessment, Technical Round 2, and the HR round. After all that, the Virtusa HR guy, John, said I passed and an offer was coming soon, with paperwork the next week. But then it was just weeks of me chasing both Virtusa HR and the consultancy. They kept saying 'wait longer' or 'offers for immediate joiners first,' even though I told them about my 2-month notice period upfront, and they were cool with it. After two months of this, I just got an email saying it was cancelled 'cause the job was filled. Super unprofessional, misleading, and a huge waste of my time. Spending a whole day interviewing, getting told I got it, then being ghosted for two months and rejected with no real reason? Unacceptable for a company like Virtusa. They and their recruiters need to sort out their hiring, communicate better, and actually respect candidates' time.

My CV got selected and I got a call from HR for a walk-in. They mentioned all rounds would be on the same day and an offer would be extended on Monday if selected. We had to wait 3 hours for the first round, which was an AI-based Java and Spring Boot interview. The second round was also technical, conducted via Teams on their office laptop. After a 1-hour round, since it was 8 pm, the HR said he would call back on Monday to discuss further, but I was ghosted afterwards.
