I applied online and then got sent a link for an online coding assessment with about 5 or 7 easy-to-medium LeetCode questions. After that, I had a call with HR where they asked general bookkeeping questions, questions about my resume, and about my outside interests. Despite solving all the OA questions, HR said I wasn't a good fit. I really dislike that the online assessment came before the HR call; it felt like a complete waste of time. If these HR questions are what determine if a candidate moves forward, it would make more sense to have this call before the test to avoid wasting everyone's time.

I started with an online assessment which was pretty good. But the HR interview after that was terrible. I was a bit sick, so I had a Strepsil in my mouth. She asked if I was 'wanting to finish my lunch'. I told her why I had it, but she didn't seem to believe me and maybe didn't know what a Strepsil was. It felt like talking to a wall the whole time, with almost no feedback on my answers, and she didn't seem engaged. She was looking away a lot. Then she gave me a brainteaser, just copy-pasted into the chat with no guidance. When I asked for clarification on a vague part, she just gave me the answer, which was frustrating.

The first step was an online coding test on Codility. They let me know about it a week prior and said I'd have to solve 4 problems in 90 minutes. I had a week to take it whenever, but once started, I had to finish within that 90-minute window. After passing the Codility test, I was contacted for a second round. This involved a 90-minute MCQ, which was like an IQ test, followed by a puzzle interview with someone from finance, not tech. I ended up getting another offer, so I didn't proceed with the second round or keep looking at Virtu.
