I went through a multistage interview process, although I was initially contacted by an agency. The first meeting went well, and then there was a technical challenge that I thought I messed up. They asked me about things I would have considered if the challenge wasn't so straightforward. I got an offer, but it was lower than I wanted. Then, after some back-and-forth calls, all my other meetings were canceled, and they hired me at the salary I needed. The screening process felt intense, and I was worried I wouldn't get the job, but I ended up getting it.
