It was a pretty extensive and challenging interview process, but ultimately worthwhile and gave me a good feel for Virgin. It started with an application with some questions, followed by online tests (numerical, verbal reasoning, and situational judgement) and a personality test. The personality test was quite important, as they questioned me on it during my assessment centre. The next step was a video interview with three questions, which were quite tough and not competency-based at all. The questions focused on competitors and how to measure the success of their launched initiatives. Then came a telephone interview, which was fairly informal. The interviewer was very friendly and put me at ease, so I didn't feel nervous and could really show what I'm about. It was also a good chance to ask them questions. The assessment centre was a full day, from 9 am to 4 pm, involving various activities: two group tasks, a presentation, two or three one-on-one interviews, and speed networking. They revisited my personality test answers because personality is a big deal for the company, asking why I chose certain answers. One of the interviews was specific to the scheme and industry, not competency-based, which was quite difficult.

So the interview process was like this: first, you do an application form, then a video interview, and then a phone/skype interview. They told me I didn't get it after the phone interview. The application form was easy. The video interview thing is a bit strange at first, but if you check out Glassdoor and watch some YouTube videos about video interviews, you'll be alright. I used flashcards with examples from my past experiences to help me out. For the phone interview, I practiced answers to questions I found on Glassdoor using the STAR method. The interview itself was pretty good and I thought it went well. The only problem was that I couldn't make the date they set for the assessment centre (not sure if that's why I didn't get in but I asked for feedback).

I did the online test with some behaviour questions. Overall the questions are easy but I failed to pass the test. The questions are all very simple and short, and it seems that there is no "correct" answer.
