Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vincit.
Senior Software Engineer
The process kicked off with HR, followed by an interesting test assignment that I completed over a few evenings. Then, there was a tech talk with the CTO and a Developer, and finally, a meeting with the CEO. The whole thing wrapped up in under three weeks. Everyone I met during the interviews was genuinely nice.
- We reviewed the test assignment solution and discussed my background.
- We talked about my experience.
Software Engineer
The first interview was with HR, pretty chill, just talking about me and Vincit and their company. Then a technical interview, they threw a basic coding problem at me and a couple more, but said they cared more about my thought process than getting the answer perfect. We also chatted about general programming stuff. The third interview was with team leads, all about expectations and salary, no tech talk, just straight up. HR prepped me for each interview, so they were pretty easy if you did the prep or had the experience.
- Could you discuss object-oriented versus functional programming?
- What are your thoughts on Test-Driven Development (TDD)?
Software Engineer
It was fine and everything was smooth. The difficulty level was a bit high but manageable. I think someone with good concepts can clear it.
- Can you share details about your experience?
