First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vincit.
Senior Software Engineer
The process kicked off with HR, followed by an interesting test assignment that I completed over a few evenings. Then, there was a tech talk with the CTO and a Developer, and finally, a meeting with the CEO. The whole thing wrapped up in under three weeks. Everyone I met during the interviews was genuinely nice.
- We reviewed the test assignment solution and discussed my background.
- We talked about my experience.
Digital Marketing Specialist
My interview experience with Vincit was great, even though I didn't end up getting the job. After my second interview, it was pretty clear to both me and the interviewer that my skillset wasn't the best match for the role, and that's totally fine. I was expecting a standard rejection email, but I was really impressed by the thoughtful, caring, and compassionate message I got back. The recruiter was super nice and had lots of kind, encouraging words. The job search can be tough, disappointing, and demoralizing, but she really boosted my spirits and made me feel hopeful. I'm thankful for how it all went down.
- The interview included general questions, and they provided a list of topics beforehand so candidates could prepare effectively.
Account Manager
It was a straightforward process. First, I had a discussion with future colleagues, and then with the manager. The main goal was to get to know each other, with a greater emphasis on personality fit rather than deep dives into experience details, which made sense. Since it was during the pandemic, all conversations were remote, which unfortunately limited the opportunity to truly get to know the person. I waited for a few weeks for a second-round call, but eventually heard back that they had chosen another candidate.
- Can you tell me about your experience and provide some examples?
- Let's have a discussion to get to know you better.
Software Engineer
I sent in an application online and then got asked to chat with HR. The HR person was nice and the conversation went well. She then told me about the next step, which would be a technical interview. About two weeks later, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward with me because my skills weren't really needed at the moment. It struck me as odd that they didn't figure this out before inviting me to interview or posting the job.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is something that you have picked up without formal instruction?
