First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vince.
Sales Associate
I sent in my resume in the third week of December and got a call on Jan 5th. The interview was the next day at a Starbucks because the new store in Camarillo Premium Outlets isn't open yet (it opens Feb 1st). It was a short 10-minute chat, really friendly, more of a 'get to know you' kind of thing, nothing too tough. They did ask some situational questions though, so be ready for those. They said they'd call me back, and a week later I got an email saying they went with someone else. I appreciated the quick feedback, though; some companies leave you waiting for ages.
- If you were shopping at Nordstrom, what brand would you pick to represent yourself? We're not focused on our own brands, just want to see your personal style.
Sales Associate
It was a really chill chat with the manager, they were super nice and explained everything really well. We also just chatted about the company and brand history. I really like Vince and have always been a fan of the brand, so that was a plus. The offer and perks are great.
- What are your salary expectations?
- Are you planning any holidays this year?
- Can you tell me about your career background?
Sales Associate
After applying, I got a call for an interview. We met up at a nearby restaurant for a one-on-one chat. The interviewer was really nice and made me feel comfortable. The whole thing lasted about 30 minutes. I got a job offer within a week.
- Could you share your preferred style or brand?
- What's your experience with commission-based sales?
- What are your preferences when it comes to retail environments?
