Inside Sales Representative
Had a phone call with about five questions. It covered questions such as, “When do you start closing,” and, “In one word, how would you describe Viking Cruises?” The interviewer seemed disinterested and, pretty much, just going down his checklist.
- At what point do you begin to close a sale?
- Describe Viking Cruises in a single word.
Sales Representative
The first interview was scheduled, but the interviewer didn't show up. I decided to give them another chance and went through with the interview. It seemed to go well, and I thought I was moving on to the next stage with the expectation that they would contact me. However, two days later, I received an automated email stating I was no longer being considered. It's frustrating to be told you're advancing, only to get that kind of response. Plus, they should have shown up for the first meeting. If I dedicate my time to an interview, I expect the interviewer to take it as seriously as I do.
- What do you like about being in sales?
Sales
So, I had this one interview with two managers. They made me wait in the lobby for quite a while, which was kinda awkward. The interview itself was pretty standard in terms of how tough the questions were. They also gave me this test about Europe's geography; if you've traveled around there, it's no big deal.
- How would you react if your manager used harsh or even rude communication as a sales motivation tactic?
- Can you describe the geography of Europe?
