Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Viking Cruises.
Travel Consultant
We started with a phone interview, and if that went well, I had to do an online application and a personality test. After that, there was a virtual interview over Microsoft Teams with two people from the company. The last step was meeting with upper management before they made an offer.
- How do you approach KPI metrics to meet and exceed them?
Travel Consultant
They're reviewing your qualifications from the start, even on the initial call, so sound friendly and professional. They consider this a phone interview without actual questions. If you get a second call, it's because they either like you or want to re-evaluate your phone voice. The interview started with one manager, then immediately after, I had interviews with two supervisors. Each interview is short, but they leave you waiting in between to gauge your comfort with pressure.
- Can you describe how strong your geography skills are?
Travel Consultant
I applied online and got an email in 3 days to do an online assessment and make a personal video. After that, they ghosted me and didn't reply to my emails about the status.
- Can you sell yourself?
