Behavioral Presentation

It was a multi-step interview process. Started with a recruiter call, then met with the direct report, followed by a team member. After that, there was a panel interview that included a presentation. The final step was an interview with the CEO. The company looks for bright, talented people with a Pitbull mentality. It was challenging, but not insane.

This role was to report into the Product Marketing Team. Everything was going well until the onsite interview. It was scheduled for 5 hours, so I prepared for rapid fire questions from 5-6 people I was supposed to be meeting with. The people were very nice to start, then when it came to lunch time, I was given a meal (thank you) but was asked to sit alone in someone's office and to eat alone and not continue interacting with the team. After that hour alone, finally the next person came in and spent about 5 minutes with me and said he would go grab the next person and to wait here. I waited for about 20 minutes as I couldn't venture out of the room (everything is key card activated). Finally a person I interviewed with earlier happened to walk by and asked what I was doing. Upon understanding the next person was a no show, he offered to walk me out and profusely apologized.

The process had 3 interviewers. I thought I did very well in the interview as they asked about how to improve their process, I provided some ideas, procedures that I did with my previous jobs, apparently they were only interested with my ideas, and techniques, they even asked how secured were those in implementing in the process. I even sent thank you notes not even one responded. I was also told by their HR that I will get an update when a decision is reached. Not even an email was sent to me for an update, I was the one who made a follow up.

My overall experience was great. I had an initial chat with the hiring manager where she explained the company, vision, and culture, and we talked about my background. Then I was invited to meet the team. I interviewed with 5 people all on the same day, and they were all really professional. Everyone seemed really enthusiastic about the company's future and its growth plans now that they've gotten more funding, and they're looking to hire top talent. The people, company, and culture really met my expectations.
