Got contacted 3 days after applying for a Jr. PM role, had a 45 min call with HR that went well. They thought I might be qualified for a PM role instead. Next was a take-home assignment, sent the next day with a 48-hour deadline. The file was corrupted and I couldn't open it. After 12 days of trying to get a working file, the recruiter asked me to do my best with what I had, even after a week of silence. I had to submit an incomplete assignment. The hiring manager received it, but 3-4 days later I got a generic rejection. I asked for feedback due to the slow comms, and they said they decided on other candidates before they even got my application. Super disappointing as I felt qualified and excited. What a waste of time and could have been communicated much sooner.

It was a really nice experience overall. They conducted 3 video interviews and then there was a final round assignment which helped me understand the role better. I got to meet with my manager and their manager, which gave me a really good grasp of what the role entails and how the company operates.

I had a 15 minute chat with someone from the Project Management team, which ended up going for about 45 minutes. We talked about the company, the job, and some questions. We touched on how important feedback is. Then, I got a 4-part project that I couldn't open in Google docs or older PowerPoint. I got the project at 6 PM the day of the interview and it was due about 36 hours later. I sent the project in the morning it was due. They confirmed they received it, and then the next day I got a generic email from greenhouse saying they didn't want to move forward. I still haven't gotten any feedback on the project.
