Accountant
The process was really quick. It started with an HR video call, then I talked to another accountant, and finally the director of FP&A. It all happened in just a few days. I thought it was odd because the job description didn't mention anything about FP&A, but the last interview's first question was about my experience with it. If they wanted to ask about that, they should've included it in the qualifications.
- Can you tell me about your experience with FP&A?
Customer Success Manager
I went through a few rounds of interviews and had some really good chats with different people on the team, including some higher-ups. They seemed to like me throughout, and I was told I was the only one who made it to the last step. But then, after that, nobody would talk to me. I tried reaching out a few times, but I never heard back. It was a bummer to put in so much effort and not get any kind of result or feedback. I'm hoping they can improve that part of the process because the job and the team seemed really cool, and it's a shame it ended like this.
- What's your approach to prioritizing tasks when dealing with difficult clients?
Project Manager
Got contacted 3 days after applying for a Jr. PM role, had a 45 min call with HR that went well. They thought I might be qualified for a PM role instead. Next was a take-home assignment, sent the next day with a 48-hour deadline. The file was corrupted and I couldn't open it. After 12 days of trying to get a working file, the recruiter asked me to do my best with what I had, even after a week of silence. I had to submit an incomplete assignment. The hiring manager received it, but 3-4 days later I got a generic rejection. I asked for feedback due to the slow comms, and they said they decided on other candidates before they even got my application. Super disappointing as I felt qualified and excited. What a waste of time and could have been communicated much sooner.
- Can you share any experience that is relevant to this role?
- Describe a situation where you had to handle an unhappy client.
Account Executive
It was a pretty standard interview process. I had an initial screening with a recruiter, and then they passed me to the Sales Director for a first call. After that, I had a video call with the Sales Director and a BDR Manager where we did a mock role play. The last 'interview' was with an AE to check cultural fit and let me ask questions to someone who does the job daily.
