Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

Yesterday, I had an interview in Malta - G’Mangia with a CS Team Leader (who seemed to be around 20) and a Customer Service Manager. Both interviewers seemed to know their stuff. The interview was supposed to be 45 minutes but went way over, like 70+ minutes. They hit me with a ton of questions that felt way too hard for a customer service job. I've got over 20 years in customer relations, so I managed to get through all the competency questions and the role-play part okay. It makes me wonder though if they can actually spot good people or just stick to a script, or maybe they don't want to hire someone who's too good? I've done loads of interviews, even for airline pilot jobs, and they weren't this complicated. Honestly, these questions were just way too much for this job.

So I applied and then got an online assessment to do a few days later, which was pretty easy. It had a personality test and some questions where I had to record myself talking. Then, the last part was an in-person interview with a team leader and a team manager. Everyone was really nice and made me feel welcome. The interview had some questions about my skills and a role-play scenario. I really liked this process because they got back to me fast and kept me updated.

The interview process was pretty well laid out. Both people I spoke with were nice and professional. We started with some light chat, then they got into questions about how I handle things, like asking me to share an experience with a tough customer. After that, there was a quick role-play thing done through a live chat on the laptop.
