Sales Manager
This whole interview process took forever, like 3-4 months from start to finish, which was kind of crazy. There were way too many interviews and calls, probably around 10 in total. It was so long that I almost gave up, but I guess that's how they get you to stay at a job for a long time, because the experience scars you so much you never want to interview again.
- Would you be open to working a couple of evenings weekly for 'social engineering,' which is their term for entertaining clients with dinner and drinks on the company card?
Sales Manager
I was supposed to meet the Regional Sales Manager for coffee, but they said they never knew about it. We rescheduled for the next week. Both the RSM and internal recruiter told me I'd get a 2nd interview. I heard nothing for over three weeks from either of them, even though I reached out. I finally sent an email saying I assumed I wasn't moving forward, and they responded 5 minutes later confirming that. It takes very little effort to follow up with candidates you interview.
- Tell me about your sales experience.
Sales Manager
The interview process took a long time. I had several interviews with different managers. The whole process was a good experience and I learned a lot about the company and the job responsibilities.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What information do you have about our company?
